Storm Heroes… footage needed for Channel 4 documentary


Britain’s Weather: Storm Heroes,on Channel 4 – we’re looking for more people to get involved by sharing their experiences of extreme weather in the UK throughout 2015. If you saw our first programme Britain’s Winter: Storm Heroes and are interested in having your footage featured in the sequel here’s the brief…

  • Do you have an interest in weather in the UK and enjoy filming it?
  • Do you live in an area affected by extreme weather?
  • Do you have a job that requires you to work in extreme weather?

If so we’d love to hear from you.

We are producing a 90 minute sequel looking at Britain’s Weatherthat will chart extreme weather in the UK over the course of a whole year and will air on Channel 4 in the run up to Christmas 2015.

We want to get a complete picture of the way that storms, high winds, heavy rain, floods, heatwaves and freak weather occurrences can affect life for ordinary Britons – so we’re asking you to contribute your footage of life in extreme weather conditions.

Whether you’re a storm chaser, a weather watcher, a homeowner whose house gets lashed by waves, or simply someone whose town is hit by a bad storm, we’d like to see what you can capture on your camera, camera-phone, go-pro or similar device.

At times, feature yourself in the footage. We want to hear your thoughts and feelings on the weather you’re experiencing: the impact it has on your job, your commute to work, your trip to the shops, the safety of your home etc. Tell us the whole story of your experience, the beginning, middle and the aftermath.
