Ride London weather

August 4, 2013 — Leave a comment

Ride London takes riders from central London, SW through Kingston and then south to the Surrey Hills, over Leith Hill (highest hill in SE England!) through Dorking, over Box Hill and then back to London via Leatherhead and Kingston. The forecast for Sunday looks like the entire route will stay dry, with broken cloud and sunny intervals, winds from SSW 14-20mph (gusts increasing in the afternoon), low humidity 60% and Tmax of 21-23C. Perfect for riding! Good luck riders! The route comes very near to our weather station in Reigate, Surrey.

A significant rainfall event will be spreading from the SW during the course of Sunday and the forecast for much of the UK on Monday is for heavy slow moving rain bringing at least 20mm for much of the North and West, flooding likely in places.  Rain for the SE corner for Monday is likely but amounts remain uncertain but will be less of a deluge than elsewhere.  More on this later.
