A more exciting look to the end of the week is developing: how quickly things change in the weather world! It now looks like snow could be possible for the SE …  if the LOW takes a more northerly route across UK the latest GFS forecast predicts some snow on or around Friday! However, it won’t last, as temperatures climb out to the weekend.

Looking further ahead it seems that from the 17th December there is a significant chance of a much colder period of weather as air originating from a forecast trough (low pressure) over Canada arrives in the UK.  Some forecasters put a 70% chance on this colder cold snap already – however, it only appears as a harmless “dip” on some models right now (see below).
