week 5 Nov: frosty start, then a bit milder and drier

November 4, 2012 — Leave a comment

If you look hard you might be able to spot drier conditions for the SE UK for the start of this week on the video above (experimental!).

Monday will be chilly with a cold northerly wind; a ridge building our west brings sunny and cool conditions.  Wednesday brings a milder westerly air flow because a LOW dominates in the North and drags winds from the Atlantic.  Some rain, probably light, falls wednesday night and a weak high pressure follows to make Thursday dry.

Milder conditions seem to be the highlight for the end of the week but next weekend has the potential to be wet.

Wet milder westerlies are forecast to kick in for the following week but another sharp cold snap is on the cards for mid-November!
